Child, Teen, & Family Counselor
Andrea Toledo, MS, LMFT-Associate
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist-Associate
Are you noticing your child or teen struggling with anxiety, behavior challenges, or difficulty managing emotions at home or school? Maybe you’re seeing meltdowns, shutdowns, defiance, or constant overwhelm. And despite your best efforts, nothing seems to create lasting change. Parenting through these moments can feel exhausting, confusing, and at times, isolating.
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate, supervised by Latasha Teamer, MS, LPC-S, LMFT-S, I specialize in working with children, teens, and families navigating emotional and behavioral challenges, including anxiety, ADHD/ADD, parenting concerns, and life transitions. I help families move beyond surface-level behaviors to understand what’s really driving them, so real, lasting change can happen.
I approach therapy through a relational and developmental lens, recognizing that a child or teen’s struggles don’t happen in isolation. They are often connected to their environment, experiences, and relationships. Together, we’ll identify patterns, reduce conflict, and build healthier ways of communicating, responding, and connecting as a family.
With a strong foundation in early childhood development, including my experience as a toddler teacher and completion of my Child Development Associate (CDA), I bring specialized insight into how children process emotions and express their needs. At the same time, I am experienced in supporting teens as they navigate anxiety, identity development, emotional regulation, and increasing life pressures.
My approach is collaborative, structured, and tailored to your family’s needs. I integrate evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. When working with younger children, I incorporate play therapy techniques to create a safe and engaging space for expression and healing.
Our work together will focus on more than just reducing problem behaviors. We’ll build emotional awareness, strengthen coping skills, and create practical strategies that support your child or teen both at home and in their everyday environments. I also work closely with parents, providing guidance and tools to help you feel more confident, consistent, and connected in your parenting.
Whether your child is struggling with anxiety, behavioral concerns, attention challenges, or adjusting to a new phase of life, healing is possible, and you don’t have to navigate it alone.
