Are you carrying a weight that feels too heavy to manage alone? Is anxiety overwhelming your mind and body—controlling your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors? Do you feel disconnected from who you are or uncertain about your purpose in life? Sometimes these struggles are symptoms of deeper wounds, including trauma. Nightmares, hypervigilance, emotional numbing, or feeling “stuck” in the past can all be signs that your nervous system is still holding on to painful experiences. While facing our shadows can be uncomfortable, it is often the path toward acceptance, healing, and greater harmony with ourselves and others.

I am a bilingual intern counselor from Brazil, supervised by Latasha Teamer, MS, LPC-S, LMFT-S. I am passionate about helping people embrace their authentic selves, integrate parts of themselves that once felt unaccepted, and discover a deeper sense of wholeness. I see clients and myself as fellow travelers, walking together on the journey toward healing. In this process, I invite you to explore your fears, rebuild your sense of safety, and take a leap of faith in yourself. Relationships can be especially challenging for those who have experienced trauma. Trusting others, being vulnerable, or sharing hidden aspects of yourself can feel unsafe. As a counselor, I offer a compassionate and non-judgmental space where even the most difficult emotions and experiences can be expressed and processed. Through our work, you can gain a deeper understanding of how trauma has shaped your patterns and relationships—and begin to create new ways of connecting with yourself and others.

My approach integrates humanistic and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), helping clients restore balance in mind and body, and, if desired, spirit. Together, we can work on managing overwhelming emotions, calming the nervous system, breaking destructive cycles, and building resilience. I believe in the brain’s ability to heal through neuroplasticity—when you begin to shift your thoughts, your feelings, and behaviors can follow. My goal is to help you uncover and challenge the negative core beliefs that trauma may have left behind, so you can move forward with strength, self-acceptance, and renewed hope.
